The two surviving sons of the high priest Ahran were Al-ghazar (“Al has helped”) and Ay-thamar (“island of the palm tree”). In the time of King Doayd there were only eight chief men descended from Ay-thamar but sixteen were descended from Al-ghazar (1 Chronicles 24:1-18). So King Doayd divided the weekly priestly rotation in the tabernacle by starting with a chief son of Ay-thamar and alternating with a chief son of Al-ghazar until all eight of Ay-thamar’s chiefs had served their week.
The chart below lists the name of each priest in their order, the meaning of his name, and his house affiliation, whether of Ay-thamar or of Al-ghazar.
The above cycle restarts after six years when each priest has served thirteen weeks each (24 x 13 = 312 weeks). 312 weeks is 2,184 days (312 x 7 = 2,184). This is six years of exactly fifty-two weeks each (2,184 ÷ 52 = 6). Thus, as this arrangement clearly proves, the biblical calendar year is 364 days. It has nothing whatsoever do with the moon in the sky, being totally divorced from lunations (lunar phases). The true calendar is a schematic mathematical calendar based on the number 7. The 12 months of the year are not lunar months. They never were. They are schematic months of exactly 30 or 31 days each.
This current year, based on the chronological figures in the Thorah and the prophets, is Year 7249. Every year begins at sunrise on the fourth day of the week (so-called Wednesday) which is the day the luminaries became signs for the year (Genesis 1:14). This current year began at sunrise with Month 1, Day 1 on March 25, 2020.
The charts below break down the year into its various components. The first column on the far left shows the days of each month. The second column shows the holy days. Full moons have been included in this column only to show how the lunar dates correlate with the schematic year of 364 days for the year 7249. Full moons will not consistently fall on the same calendar dates each year. The third column shows the weekly rotation of priests (see chart above). The fourth column shows the week day number. The fifth and sixth columns show the conversion of the dates in the 364-day calendar into their Gregorian equivalents. The seventh column tracks each day of the calendar year from 1 to 364. The eighth column shows the number of days that have elapsed since the very first day of creation.
