“And will fall Ashor by the sword not of a man, and the sword not of men. You will devour him. And he will flee because of it, from before the sword, and his young men for a gang of slave laborers will they be” (Yashai-Ya’oh 31:8).
If you know the history of the ancient Near East this is not how ancient Ashor (Assyria) fell in 612 BCE, and that is because this prophecy in chapter 31 of Yashai-Ya’oh (Isaiah) is not talking about the ancient Ashor of Mesopotamia in the Old World, even though the oppressor is called “Ashor” here in verse 8 and “Matsraym” (Egypt) in verses 1 and 3. There is currently only one nation on earth that has earned itself the right to be called by the same names as the names of the ancient oppressors of Ya’oh-shar-al (Israel) and it isn’t any nation in the Old World.
You – not Iran, not Russia, not China, not an Arab man – you, you will devour your oppressor by a sword, but your sword is not a man-made weapon. It is not the sword of a single man, nor is it the sword of a company of men. Your sword is the destructive power of nature put into the palm of your hands by nature’s Creator and wielded by you at a distance from a safe and secure location far away. Your oppressor will be unable to defend himself or fight back. How do you fight natural catastrophic disasters and deadly plagues with bullets, missiles, drones, fighter jets, tanks, and submarines? You don’t. You can’t. All you can do is run and hide underground. Your oppressor will flee from your sword but to no avail. You were his slaves and its his turn to become your slaves.
The Creator of nature with all of its horrific destructive force is a man of war with a fearful and glorious name.
His name is YA’OH
Always has been. Always will be.
