Who is the Ravenous Bird?

Yaram-Ya’oh (Jeremiah) 30:18-24

[18] Thus says YA’OH: Behold, I am the one bringing the captivity of the tents of Ya’oh-ghakab, and his dwelling places I will show mercy, and a city will be built upon its raised hill, and a palace according to its right will abide.

[19] And out from them will go “thodah” and a voice of ones having fun, and I will multiply them, and not will they be few, and I will glorify them, and not will they be small.

[20] His children will be like before, and his congregation before me will be established, and I will visit upon all that have oppressed him.

[21] And his noble leader will be of themselves; that is, his ruler will proceed from among them, and I will cause him to come near, and he will approach to me. For who is he, this one that has pledged his heart to approach me? says YA’OH.

[22] And you will be to me for a nation, and I will be to you for your Higher Power.

[23] Behold, the violent storm tempest of YA’OH, with fury it will go forth, a whirlwind dragging away, upon the head of the wicked will it dance.

[24] Not will it return, the fierce anger of YA’OH, until He has done it, and until He carries out the devices of His heart. In the last days you will understand it.

Commentary

The above prophecy has never been fulfilled in the past. The exiles of Ya’oh-shar-al who returned after the Persian conquest of Babylon in the 6th century BCE did not build a palace that abided. They did build a palace, the Hasmonean palace, but an enemy, an Edomite named Herod the Great (36 BCE – 3 BCE), seized it and took it over. He then rebuilt it and renamed it “Antonia” in order to please his patron the Roman statesman Mark Antony. Herod also completely dismantled the second temple and built a third temple!

Furthermore, the exiles who returned after the Babylonian captivity did not establish a burgeoning and flourishing congregation like the days of old in former times. The second/third temple period (519 BCE – 70 CE) witnessed “troublesome times” (Daniel 9:25). Nor did YA’OH punish all that oppressed them. In fact, just the opposite. The Romans destroyed their commonwealth, the holy city of Yaroshalam (Jerusalem), and the third temple in the year 70 CE (Daniel 9:26). The congregation was not “established” before YA’OH. It was obliterated and scattered by the Roman legions.

Lastly, there was never any violent weaponized weather that destroyed the wicked after the Babylonian captivity was over, nor during the entire second/third temple period (519 BCE – 70 CE) did anything like this ever happen.

So Yaram-Ya’oh 30:18-24 is either a failed prophecy, or the correct interpretation is this:

The bringing of the captivity of the “tents” of Ya’oh-ghakab refers to the exodus of the remnant to the wilderness that is taking place at this time before our very eyes. These outcasts are about to start living in “tents” for seven days out of the year, every year, starting on 7.15.7251 (October 5, 2022), the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which is next week. The “tents” mentioned in verse 18 stand for those who will literally dwell in tents again in obedience to the covenant.

The anarthrous עיר is “a city” that will be built on top of a raised hill in the wilderness (Yashai-Ya’oh 45:13) and also a “palace” in accordance with what a palace requires, after its own fashion. This city and its palace (the tabernacle) will “abide” and never be seized by an enemy.

The remnant who make their exodus to the wilderness will begin with a few but they will be increased and not remain small. They will be glorified. Their congregation will be established and it wont be shaken or moved. Their enemies who oppressed them in the lands that they have exited will be destroyed once the remnant have all been gathered to the wilderness.

The remnant will have an אדיר “a noble leader,” a man who is not only one of them but who has also proceeded from among them, i.e. this ruler was once a captive with them, born into foreign captivity in the enemy lands that they have abandoned. Christians have understood this to be a reference to Zarababal (Zerubbabel), who, by the initial permission of Cyrus of Persia was told he could rebuild the temple, but Cyrus did not honor his word and enforce his decree the entire time he was alive (Ezra 4:5; I Esdras 5:73) and thus Zarababal was not able to build the second temple until the reign of Darius Hystaspes (Ezra 6:15). Others interpret it to mean the mashaykh (messiah) Ya’ohshai Ban Ya’ohsap, but he was not born in foreign captivity and he did not build a city on a raised hill and a palace. The man prophesied in verse 21 who pledges his heart to YA’OH is the ravenous bird who executes the counsel of YA’OH in the far east where the sun rises and where the wilderness is located (Yashai-Ya’oh 46:11).

The remnant who escape the lands of their captivity and relocate to the wilderness will become YA’OH’s nation in the wilderness, and YA’OH will become their Higher Power, meaning YA’OH will now fight for them and not fight against them anymore as He had done in the past.

The violent weather that YA’OH brings to the wicked to destroy the world is summoned by the remnant colony in the wilderness where they are safe and secure in their city on a raised hill.

In these last days you will understand it.

His name is YA’OH
Always has been. Always will be.

  1. Although this is Not the first time we have been visited by a hurricane. We just witnessed here in Florida what will be the norm in the near future for the whole continent/nation known as the USA. I was lucky I live inland (Marion County) but our coast on both sides are toast. I got to leave before It gets totally bonkers in here. To the Wilderness it is 😉🤗🏝️🌍🌊

Thodah la Ya’oh for you Nabay wa Mabayn Yaohdah Ban Dor aka “the Ravenous Bird”, wa for choosing me and my grandchildren to be apart of the remnant that he has called to return to the wilderness, but most importantly for heeding his voice. Looking forward to my/our 1st “Feast of Tabernacles” here in Madbar this week. Halalo ath Yaoh Ghalayon Lababdo! Aman!!😍
