The Mercies of Dod

Yashai-Ya’oh (Isaiah) 55

[1] Ho’ay! All who thirst, go you all to the waters, and whoever doesn’t have money, go you all, buy you all, and eat you all, and go you all, buy without money and without price wine and milk.

[2] Why will you spend money without bread, and you will toil without satisfaction. Listen diligently to me and eat the good. And it will delight in abundant fatness your soul.

[3] Bend down your ear and go to me. Listen and it will live your soul, that I may cut for you an everlasting covenant, the mercies of Dod, the inviolable ones.

[4] Behold, the witness of the people. I have given him to be a ruler and a lawgiver of the people.

[5] Behold, a nation not do you know will you call, and a nation not do they know you, to you will they run for the sake of YA’OH, your Higher Power, and for the Holy One of Ya’oh-shar-al, for I have adorned you.

[6] Seek YA’OH when He is found. Call unto Him when He is near.

[7] Let the wicked forsake his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and return to YA’OH and He will have mercy to him; and to our Higher Power, for He will multiply pardoning.

[8] For not are my thoughts your thoughts, and not are your ways my ways, says YA’OH.

[9] For they are higher the heavens from the earth, so are they higher my ways than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

[10] For like as descends the rain and the snow from the heaven and there not will it return, but rather it waters the earth and causes to bring it forth, and causes to blossom it, and gives seed to the one who sows, and bread to the one who eats,

[11] so will it be my word which will go out from my mouth. Not will it return to me empty, but rather it is doing that which I have desired, and it will cause to prosper that which I have sent it.

[12] For with joy will you exodus, and in shalom will you be led forth. The mountains and the hills will break forth before you singing, and all the trees of the field will clap the hand.

[13] Instead of the thorn will come up the cypress tree, and instead of the crowding weed will come up the myrtle tree. And it will be to YA’OH for a name, for an everlasting sign, not will it be cut off.

Commentary

There is a rain that YA’OH causes to fall on everyone, the good and the bad alike. But there is another kind of rain that He only allows to fall on the ones He loves, the ones He means to restore in the latter days. That is the rain of His word which tells them what the future holds and what is in store for them. They do not walk blindly not knowing what to do. They walk in the light and they feed on the richness of His prophetic word, and they move accordingly. He makes an everlasting covenant with them, and gives them the mercies of Dod. King Dod (aka Doayd) was guilty of sins that he should have been put to death for, but because of his heart he was shown mercy. So will it be for this generation who has called on the name YA’OH when He and His name have come near.

YA’OH has also given in this time a “witness of the people,” a person He wants to be a ruler and a lawgiver. A lawgiver in the sense that this person will explain and expound the laws and institutions of YA’OH to His people. He is the Gadite lawgiver prophesied to come by Mashah (Moses) in Thorah 5 (Deuteronomy) 33:21. He will call to a strange nation he doesn’t know. And that strange nation will run to him for the sake of YA’OH. This strange nation is where the wilderness is located. The word of YA’OH he teaches is the rain that activates only a certain people, a people thirsty for YA’OH only, and it makes them blossom and prosper. The word of YA’OH does not return to Him empty.

These activated people, descendants of middle passage slaves, make an exodus from the lands of their captivity with joy and with shalom under his leadership. To where are they going? To the strange nation where their Gadite lawgiver is. To the wilderness in order to be restored as a great people. And the kingdom YA’OH builds, with them as foundation stones, will last forever and never be cut off. It will grow and become the dominant power in the world. This is the promise their Rock has made to them, and their Rock has a name.

His name is YA’OH.
Always has been. Always will be.

  2. I have learned so much from you, I pray YA’OH bless you and your family. Everything I thought I knew, was taught to me wrong. I long for the day to just be with my brothers and keeping the laws of YA’OH to the letter!
